Cruise - Diving Adventure

Join Hera Cruises on this fantastic underwater diving experience. This adventure is available to all and since we will be instructing new Divers on various subjects related to safe underwater diving, no diving experience is required. After collection from your hotel/apartment, you will be transferred to one of the Hera yachts. Upon arrival at the Sliema Ferries, all prospective divers will be given their personal full diving equipment bag. (Weight belts and tanks will be provided on-board) Clients are responsible for this equipment and anything that is lost or damaged will have to be paid for by the client direct. Following the registration of medical details and liability releases, the diving instructors will divide guests into groups according to their experience. A full briefing by a PADI instructor will be given while cruising northwards to our first diving stop in Comino.

The briefing will include an introduction and explanation of proper use of equipment as well as a full review on breathing rules, equalisation techniques as well as the skills that will be taught while underwater. Other information will include how to respect aquatic life, plants and animals, divers are likely to meet during our adventure and finally information regarding underwater communications and hand signals.

During the 2 dives, divers will learn how to put on equipment & enter the water, breathe & swim underwater, clear and recover a regulator, clear a mask while underwater, equalisation techniques, hand signals & underwater communications, relaxation techniques and finally safe exit from the water. The maximum depth is 12 metres.

Details needed when booking a client on the Diving Adventure are the following:

• On booking, agent must record name, sex, date of birth, size of wetsuit & shoe size required as well as indicating their diving experience by noting number of dives and if a medical examination is needed. A chart with the different sizes for easy reference will be provided by Hera Cruises.
• Adolescents: (The Diving Adventure is only available to adolescents over 14 years of age. For guests aged 14-18, a signature from a guardian is needed)
• The doctor will come on board and carry out medicals as necessary. Doctor will charge Lm5 directly to the client. Therefore it is of the utmost importance that clients are informed about this and they should have Lm5 in cash ready for the doctor when they board. Anyone who has a current medical examination must bring a copy with them otherwise they will not be allowed to dive and will not be refunded. Of course they can always opt to have another one done with the doctor on board if he is available.
